Looks like the Sci-Fi Channel is getting in on the pissed-off mother nature act now too. Tomorrow night, they're having a mini disaster-marathon. Starts with Dante's Peak, then two made-for-tv neo-ice-age movies (ICE (2000), and Post Impact (2004)). [img]tongue.gif[/img]

At least they're TRYING to put a little sci-fi on the Sci-Fi Channel, ocassionally....

Supposedly there's a horror network starting, so I was hoping some of the horror crap would get the HELL off my sci-fi network and movie over there.

I know there's some original programming that starts filming in L.A. for it in August...can't say no more...I don't even know the name of the horror net. anyone? anyone? bueller?

I watched it twice and I still quite can't figure out what it was supposed to be about.

It was kind of like that asteroid movie with Ben Affleck and Aerosmith...except the effects weren't as good and they didn't stop the asteroid.

Wait, wait! It was like the flipside of an early episode of Lois & Clark! When they can't stop the asteroid with a nuclear blast so they send Superman to do it. They're watching the thing come down, and Clark, I mean Dean, puts his hand inside his suit to losen his shirt, but this time its just to grab his cel phone to call his wife...'cause he's not Superman, and the world ends....the end.

I couldn't stay awake for the Dennehy movie last morning...but I'm re-reading those Trek Excalibur books starring his daughter. I can't figure out why Peter David chose ONE real person to write into his books and it was Elizabeth Dennehy. [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img]

DUH, maybe I should rephrase that. He used ONE existing character from TNG and threw her in as regular crew on Excalibur. I need some sleep! Y'know, I have trouble separating fact from fiction at the best of times...

Ya know I was watching the 1st season of Quantum Leap and I had completely forgotten that Teri Hatcher had been in the 2nd episode. She looks like she was about 18 at the time. [img]smile.gif[/img]
